What it is

The Shoe Decreaser applies controlled, even heat through a 3.15 x 5.5 inch curved plate, shaped to match the natural curve of a toe box and heel counter. Working through a damp cloth, the heat relaxes the fibres in a leather or synthetic upper so they can lie flat again. It is the same principle a cobbler works on, sized for a shelf at home.

Four fixed temperatures mean you match the heat to the material instead of guessing, which is where most home attempts go wrong. The base is insulated so the Decreaser can be set down mid-job, and it cuts power on its own after ten minutes.
